Episode Summary
Here’s what happens. Templeton wants to hire his friend Wilbur to build Templeton’s website. They agree on $5,000 and Templeton pays Wilbur. The only “verbal contract” terms were that the price was $5,000 and that Wilbur would build the website.
Wilbur turns out to be unreliable. He takes way too long to deliver the final product, does hardly anything on the website in relation to what Templeton expected, and eventually posts photos on the website that prove to be copyrighted by another owner. That owner eventually sues Templeton for copyright infringement and Templeton loses because he has no contract provisions to hold Wilbur accountable.
